UPDATE: High Sheriff’s Concert for Swindon Cares

ON Saturday 11th June Christ Church was packed as people enjoyed listening to “Ten in a Bar” & The Wiltshire Police Band at the High Sheriff’s Concert for Swindon Cares. The Concert was hosted by Swindon born explorer David Hempleman-Adams, & our guest presenter was Graham Rogers from BBC Wiltshire.

Thanks to huge support from those attending, those who gave donations or advertised in our programme we will have raised over £5,700 for our 2 Charities DASH & Hop Skip & Jump.


Swindon Cares Launch took place at The Tawny Owl.

James Arkell our Chairman was on sparkling form, David Hempleman-Adams, High Sheriff of Wiltshire joined us with Deputy Mayor Cllr Eric Shaw & representatives from our 2 Charities, DASH & Hop, Skip & Jump and many of our very lovely supporters.

Cheque Handover on Friday 11th with the High Sheriff of Wiltshire

At lunch time tomorrow (Friday 11th December) at The Tawny Owl, The High Sheriff of Wiltshire Lady Gooch will be handing over cheques to our 2 Charities, Hop Skip & Jump & DASH in respect of our fundraising efforts in 2015.

Thanks to everyones help, Swindon Cares has raised a massive £18,609

This brings our fund raising total to £234,373
